8. Layered Skirt: These are also called tiered skirts which has rows or layers of fabric attached to each other at the hemline. The width of each layer may be graduated or of even lengths. Length as well as width of each tier may vary. The layers of frills can also be attached separately one below the other over the basic skirt. Frills lay over each other and conceal stitch line. The hemline of each tier may be trimmed by adding fringes, colored, binding, ribbons etc.

1. A good placket should be as inconspicuous and flat as possible. It should not be bulky, puckered or stretched. Fastenings should hold securely and there should be no gapping edges. 2. Neck openings must admit the head easily, pass over. The position of the placket should be such that it is easily accessible and convenient to operate.
